The 64 Chord System

According to jazz professionals a minimum of 64 chords are needed in order to play any given song. Fortunately for you, this can be done quite easily on the guitar with as few as five different patterns. We will, however, learn ten total patterns in the interest of flexability.

All ten patterns will be based on movable chords and will all be four string sets. Of course, if you need more chords you can add any you like. These are just a comfortable set that will get you started. With this set you should be able to play any song you come up against.

Most of the chords you will learn occur naturally within the chord scales with the acception of the diminished chord. It is included for it's utility.
